Jesé Rodríguez will remain in Real Madrid for the next four years. The Canary Island-born player joined the club when he was 14 as part of the Cadete B team, and since then he has stood out in all The Factory’s categories, up until now, when he will finally have an opportunity to be part of the first team. This won’t be a new experience for him, however, as he saw his official debut in December 2012 against Ponferradina in the Copa del Rey. As he said at the time, “Not many players can say they have played in the first team at just 18. I came here when I was very young and I have always dreamt about this”. The top goal national scorer in the Segunda Division last season and the player who has scored the most goals for Castilla in one season now has the opportunity to make his dream come true.

Jesé is already a feature in the first team, with which he saw his debut on December 13, 2011 in the 0-2 victory against Ponferradina in the Toralín stadium. The fact that he donned the white strip more than five years ago and has now reached the dizzy heights of the first team has made him an example for the youth team players throughout the club. Joining the Cadete B team in 2007, little by little he has climbed through the categories, standing out for both his explosiveness and natural talent. He was the top scorer in the Segunda Division last season and the player who has scored most goals in the Spanish league’s silver category in one league campaign, beating Butragueño’s record from the 83/84 season with 22 goals.

Despite his youth, he shows audacity and improvisation on the playing field and, in addition, his all-round talent means he can play in virtually any position in attack, whether it’s centre forward, second line of attack or on either wing. As an international player with the Spanish youth teams, he won the European Championship with the under-19 side in 2012 and, with 5 goals, came away with the Golden Boot for the tournament.
