Having passed the preliminary medical tests satisfactorily, Isco came to the Santiago Bernabéu stadium to sign the contract that will bind him to Real Madrid for the next five seasons. He was met by a large delegation of the Real Madrid Executive Board, led by Florentino Pérez, who welcomed him and presented him with a miniature replica of the stadium, a watch, the pen with which he signed the contract and a Real Madrid shirt. On the shirt were stamped his name, the number 23 on the back of the shirt and the date of his presentation to the fans, below the team crest. The new Real player and the club President then viewed the nine European Cup football trophies and eight European Cup basketball trophies.
