The hole left by the departure of Dani Carvajal has been filled by Fábio Henrique Tavares, A.K.A. Fabinho. The Brazil under-20 international has been brought in to fill the right-back position for Real Madrid Castilla (Real's reserve team) this season.
The young defender – who learnt his trade in the Fluminense youth team – had signed for Portuguese club Rio Ave one month ago and has now been signed by Real Madrid.
He joined the club on Wednesday and took part in his first training session with the first team squad, along with the other 11 Castilla players who have been instructed by José Mourinho since Monday. Fabinho was the only new face of an intense training session, which took part at a sizzling temperature of 40ºC.
