MARCA:
Kaká landed in the Spanish capital without making any comment on his future and ready to begin his fourth season as a Real Madrid player although this part of the equation remains unclear. He is about to see José Mourinho in person for the first time following a two-month holiday.
At the meeting a conversation might transpire in which the coach could reveal his plans to Kaká. Whether he will be in the starting line-up or whether he will play a secondary role. Only intervention by the Portuguese manager in support of the midfielder could save the Brazilian from being transferred.
The problem is largely economic. The Brazilian player has become a drain on resources for Real Madrid which is facing a €70 million problem. It breaks down like this: Kaká still has three more years with Real Madrid, during which time the club has to pay him almost €40 million if the midfielder sees out his contract.
Added to the outstanding €30 million Real Madrid needs to recoup, the total amount needed if the club sticks with Kaká would stretch Real Madrid by €70 million.
The problem continues to be finding a team to take on Kaká's salary and meet Real Madrid's demands who wants an economic return for the Brazilian's exit. Inter Milan has always been interested in getting him back. If the Berlusconi team secures the sale of Ibrahimovic to PSG, it could consider the Kaká deal.
