The 30-year-old was quoted as saying by France Football: "It is a great honour, it means that I have done something during my career.
"We usually say that you cannot become a legend before death. But I am a living legend - at least in Malmo."
Ibrahimovic, who along with his Sweden team-mates is preparing for this week's 2014 World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan, was also questioned about why he opted not to celebrate scoring for PSG against Lille last weekend.
His actions had been compared to Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who had acted similarly in a recent Spanish league game against Granada.
"I see you, now you are trying to compare me to someone else," Ibrahimovic said.
"You cannot compare myself to him.
"When I score a goal after 27 seconds, there are still 89 minutes to play. I prefer to show my joy after the game, because anything can happen during a match."
PSG sporting director Leonardo had last week ruled out a bid for Ronaldo, who has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, telling French radio station RMC: "Ibrahimovic is the best striker in the world. So why hire Ronaldo? Zlatan is unique.
"When we talk about the best players, there is Ronaldo and Messi - but they are not strikers.
"The best striker? That's Zlatan."
