Whilst waiting for the terms of a possible move for Kaká back to Milan from Madrid to be thrashed out, the Italian club is eyeing up another Real player, Sami Khedira. According to various Italian sources, the coach Massimiliano Allegri is convinced he can swoop in for the player if Modric finally ends up signing for the Spanish giant.
The Italian media analysed the possible midfield situation at Real Madrid with the Croat on board, and reached the conclusion that Modric's arrival would be a problem for the all terrain German.
Allegri likes Khedira's style of play. He's already had a look at Xabi Alonso, after the end of Euro 2012. At the moment there are no rumours as to what Milan might be willing to pay for the German midfielder, and in any event it seems unlikely that Mourinho would want to dispose of a player who has been fundamental to him since he took over at Real Madrid, even if Modric signs for him.
